Located in the heart of Girona’s Barri Vell, Palau Fugit was an ancient baroque palace from the 18th-century that used to be called Casa Heras de Puig. In 2022, the palace was completely renovated and, for the first time, its doors have opened to everyone: travelers, locals and—of course—you.

Flowers remind us that every moment is beautiful, but at the same time, ephemeral. This specialist in floral art selects different flowers to bring freshness, color and scent to each room of the palace. For Judith and the Palau Fugit team, it is very important that the flowers grow close to the hotel, combine perfectly with the ceramic pieces they’ve been placed in, and enhance the space where they’re located.
Born in Girona, Núria Gimbernat has been inspired by this city throughout her career. This has also been the case when designing all the ceramic pieces of Palau Fugit. Working each piece by hand, she thought of every detail so that her creations transmit a sense of purity and complement with the other elements of the space.

Born in l’Empordà, Sonia Estévez drew the illustrations that can be found throughout the palace. In these pieces, she reflects on the transience of time and the need to live in the ‘here and now’. Through her work, she shows that although time flies, Palau Fugit invites you to stop for a moment and enjoy it.
This painter, illustrator and art director observes plants and trees like a professional naturalist. In fact, she has worked for major projects in London, New York and San Francisco, but currently lives between Barcelona and l’Empordà.
